If you buy membership today, you will be considered a member for the Ganeshotsav 2023 event. The 2022-23 committee has decided to allow this.

गणेशोत्सवाच्या कार्यक्रमासाठी अभूतपूर्व प्रतिसाद मिळालेला आहे – आपली ३६० तिकिटं book झालेली आहेत. Caterers च्या विनंतीनुसार आम्हांला तिकीटविक्री लवकरच बंद करावी लागेल. तर तुम्हांला आजचा शेवटचा दिवस आहे. तिकिटांची लिंक आज रात्री बंद केली जाईल.

We have received an overwhelming response to Ganesh Festival. We have sold 360 tickets already ! As per the request from the caterers, we’ll have to stop selling lunch tickets soon. Please note that today is the last day to buy the tickets. The link will go away tonight.

गणेशोत्सवाच्या कार्यक्रमाची थोडीशी माहिती –

Venue = HESCA Portland Balaji Temple (6100 SW Raab Rd, Portland, OR 97221)
Puja begins at 9 am on Level 2 in Multi-Purpose Room
Aarti & Prasad at 9:45 am on Level 2 in Multi-Purpose Room
Talent Show (music, dance, fashion show program) at 10:30 am on Level 4 in the Auditorium
Lunch at noon on Level 2 and 3 (due to the high number of attendees, all cannot be accommodated at one place, hence this arrangement)
Uttarpuja & Visarjan at 2 pm on Level 2 in Multi-Purpose Room
Dhol, Tasha Miravnuk at 2:15 pm in the lower parking lot (across from level 2)

मंडळाच्या वर्षातला शेवटचा आणि आपल्या सर्वांचा आवडता गणेशोत्सव कार्यक्रम आहे रविवारी सप्टेंबर-२४ ला बालाजी मंदिरामध्ये. पूजा ते विसर्जन सकाळी ९ ते दुपारी ४ असेल. कार्यक्रमातील सर्वांत महत्वाचा भाग म्हणजे जेवण खास मराठी मेनू; आणि तोही आपल्या खास caterers नी बनवलेला. सर्वांना पुरावे; पण नासाडी होऊनये; यासाठी सर्वांना सप्टें-१२ च्या आत तिकिटं घेण्याची विनंती आहे. ~~कृपया ही link वापरून तुमचं जेवण आजच book करा.~~

The Mandal’s last and all our favorite Ganeshotsav program of the year is on Sunday September-24th at HECSA Portland Balaji Temple. Pooja to Visarjan will be from 9 am to 4 pm. The most important part of the program is the food we have special Marathi menu; And that too made by our special caterers. Please buy your lunch ticket by Sep-12. Talent Show auditions ची email भाग घेणाऱ्या सर्वांना गेलेली आहे. जर कुणाला मिळाली नसेल तर कृपया लगेच संपर्क करा. Auditions या रविवारी सप्टें-१० ला दुपारी १ ते ३ असतील. Auditions are mandatory for all participants.

Talent Show नंतर सर्वांसाठी जेवण आहे. सर्वांना पुरावे; पण नासाडी होऊनये; यासाठी सर्वांना तिकिटं आधी घेण्याची विनंती आहे. Please buy your lunch food-tickets by Sep-12. गणपतीसाठी मोदक/पेढे

गणपती बाप्पाच्या प्रसादासाठी, लोकांना वाटायला उकडीचे मोदक/ पेढे हवे आहेत. जर तुम्ही करून आणू शकत असलात तर कृपया मला president@oregonmm.org वर संपर्क करा; सप्टेंबर-१० च्या आत. कितीही चालतील – २५, ५० किंवा जास्ती 🙂

Talent Show for Grown-Ups: Guidelines

We have a duration constraint of 90 minutes for the program run time. In order to give a chance to everyone and stay within the time constraints, we are going to accept program entries on a first-come-first-served basis. The last day to accept entries is Aug-31-2023; but If we get too many programs, we may close accepting any more entries before Aug-31. So, please send your entries, as soon as you can using this link. Here are the guidelines to follow for your program presentation:

Every program should have minimum 4 participants. No solo programs.
Participants should be older than 18 years of age.
All participants, directors/ choreographers should be current OMM members.
We’ll need a proof of membership to be shown at audition time.
Though not mandatory, we urge the program to be around Marathi culture e.g., soundtrack used for a dance.
Only MP3 and MP4 formats can be used for background soundtrack.
Presentation should be age appropriate. OMM EC reserves the right to reject/ cancel any entry at any time.
All participants should participate in a live audition, to be organized on Sep-10 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM (location TBD). We’ll email you your scheduled time slot closer to the date.
You can participate in only one program.
All participants should buy tickets in advance, latest by audition time, to confirm attendance.
Duration for a program should be within the following –
4 participants = 4 minutes
5 to 6 participants = 5 minutes
6 to 8 participants = 6 minutes
More than 8 participants = 8 minutes
If we get too many entries, we may request professionals (those who perform regularly on stage) to withdraw/ get added to existing entry and give a chance to हौशी/ होतकरू कलाकार 🙂
